Claiming Standard Deduction with Medical Expenses And Student Loan Interests

Moving expenses and student loan interest- I can still claim standard deduction?

I have a question about claiming standard deduction vs itemized deductions. I just want to make sure I understand something here. I have medical expenses to claim as well as student loan interests to claim. When claiming moving expenses and student loan interest on 1040 lines 26 and 33, I can still claim the standard deduction, correct? This does not require itemization of deductions?

Yes, you can, as long as you otherwise meet the requirements of those deductions. Moving, for example, requires that you have a job that would require commuting 50 miles longer than you currently do. For example, if your old house to old job was 10 miles, the distance from your old house to your new job would have to be at least 60 miles.
