Tax Write Off Benefits of Donating Property
I am a pastor of a small church who is having service in an old building. The owner is an incredibly nice guy who is considering donating the property to the church. He has also been donating other properties already. I want to know, if the owner of that building would give us the property, what would the tax benefit be for him? Will he get any tax benefits or tax breaks? Would there be a tax break in the upcoming year or any other years? Also are there any forms that need to be filled out to claim the benefits?
Is Emergency Home Repair a Tax Write Off?
I own a home and recently I received a notice of unsafe condition from the city on my property. Needless to say that I must spend a lot of money to make the repair to my home to satisfy the city’s requirements. The repair will cost me a lot so anything will help.
So, my question is that if I make the repair, can I write off anything?
Can I write off any expenses to repair the retaining wall in question?
What if the retaining wall was damaged during a declared state of emergency?
Thanks.
How Much Tax Write Off Am I Allowed?
I own a car audio company. The main method of selling is installing the products into a demo vehicle so the customer can hear the products. I plan to install the products into my car so the customer can listen and decide if he/she likes them. The cost involved for me is the cost of installation, and the cost of the products themselves. How much of this would I be allowed to write off? Is it 100% tax write off or something less?
Would Cashier Shortages Qualify As a Tax Write Off?
I work as a cashier and I was wondering if all my shortages, which are documented qualify as a write off? And who should I get in touch with if so. My employer does collect them from me. I work for a casino and I pay them back, I’m pretty sure that it isn’t illegal.
