Writing Off IRS Audit Cost?
If you are audited by the IRS, can you write off the cost incurred during the audit, such as bills from your cpa?

Tax Form Charitable Donation

Question: Is there something wrong with this plan for taxes / charity?
Instead of making charitable donations tax exempt, why can’t the government include charitable donations as tax? I mean to count charity and tax as the same thing.
That way people would have the option of either giving money to the government in the form of tax or giving to a charity of their choosing.Would that promote giving to charity? Isn’t that a better solution for both liberals and conservatives?
Answer: I believe it would contribute to giving to charity…which would be a good thing.
It would be great if all of our government services were more local and informal like neighbors helping neighbors, instead of money going through some government entity.
