If you are audited by the IRS, can you write off the cost incurred during the audit, such as bills from your cpa?

Question: Is cash for clunkers still Obamas one good program?
Having just heard that everyone that got their 4500 dollar credit is going to be 1099′d on that money and will owe income taxes for it! I wonder if congress read that fine print ?

Answer: The first question I asked of my CPA was: “Is this cash for clunkers money taxable?” She said “HELL yes”. It’s considered income. The Libs would screw over their own families if there was a dollar in it for them.
